Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld, speaking to his troops made the mistake of comparing the Iraq War to the Algerian War. This was in response to a question from Professor Richard Anderson of the School of Advanced Air and Space Studies.

The professor was asking if Iraq would end up like Vietnam, saying "the center of gravity" in the war was with US politicians.
