As many of you know there was a big conference at Stanford University this past weekend called Know-The-Ledge. It was centered around Hip Hop Journalist building with Hip Hop scholars and it was put on by the Stanford Hip Hop Archives.

This is part 2 of that panel discussion: sitting on that panel was Stic from dead prez, ladybug Mecca of Diagble Planets, Boots Riley of the Coup,KRS-One and myself -Davey D. Missing in action was Yo-Yo and Lyrics Born…KRS rolled through and brought Hip Hop pioneer Busy B to fill the gap.

Salary disparity is a good thing?

How is it possible that such educated and intelligent people forget the simple fact that CEO salaries are set by a board of peers or by a group of CEO wannabes whose salaries go up every time they vote an increase for their bosses? Yes, basically, CEOs set their own salaries, and workers don’t.

Yesterday 51 protestors were arrested at the Pentagon on the third anniversary of Bush's invasion of Iraq

The original plan was to march from the Vietnam Beteran's Memorial to the Pentagon, but the Park Service gave organizers a lame excuse about "construction" and sunted the protest over to the south side of Independance Ave, out of sight of both the Vietnam and even the promised Korean War memorial. Organizers could have probably used the Vietnam memorial either WITHOUT a permit or by suing the PArk Service.
