This is a film from Monday, April 18, the first day and night of Tent University Santa Cruz.

(14:55 minutes)

This film includes scenes of the festive march from the Baytree Plaza down to the base of campus where Tent University Santa Cruz was established.

We also hear a poem from Fritz called, "The Revolution will not be Taught."

The rest of the video is very dark because it was night and unfortunately, I don't have have a light for my camera.

FROM THE PRESS RELEASE: "... five of us crossed a small perimeter fence and then used a nylon rope and small metal hook to pull off some strands of electrified wire running along the top of the main fence. We did this away from the main protest activity and police presence. We then dropped our equipment and stood with our hands in the air, peacefully giving ourselves up for arrest as the police arrived.
2. 'We state that the damaging of the fence is non-violence, believing that in fact this fence represents the violence inflicted on innocent human beings by our inhumane policy'.
