On Thurseday, Around 400 thousand Palestinians will vote in the second
stage of the local government elections in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
Results of the elections will be officialLy announced next Sunday. 400 women among more than 2500 candidates are competing for the 906 seats.

This is a radio interview with mountain defense activists Erin and Kym from Virginia and North Carolina.

A new form of mining involving blasting the tops off mountains is flattening east coast mountain ranges. It's threatening the forests and wildlife and local people. A whole summer of activity against mountain top removal mining is in the works.
